The School of Architecture at LNCT has embarked on a mission to lead and guide the next generation of architects, illuminating their architectural knowledge and experience. With the dynamic growth and development in both rural and urban areas, rapid urbanization, technological advancements, dwindling resources, and evolving needs, the demand for professionally qualified and skilled architects has become paramount. These architects are expected to be not just designers and conceptualizers, but also project managers, innovators, program coordinators, and much more. In this era of new challenges and competent developments, the role of architectural education is changing to sustain growth potentials while addressing the needs of society appropriately and sustainably, as responsible global citizens.
The School of Architecture at LNCT is committed to playing a leading role in architectural practice, by being attuned to regional sensitivities and global awareness. This is achieved through critical discourse on architectural theory, practical hands-on experiences, intensive fieldwork, knowledge sharing, critiques, and debates. The curriculum is designed to demystify the gap between theory and the profession, allowing students to progress through all stages of development, including thinking, learning, designing, sharing, practicing, presenting, and achieving.
In its years of existence, the School of Architecture has accomplished a significant number of milestones. This includes completing workshops, conducting site visits, organizing study tours, providing hands-on training, hosting a national training program and a national conference, participating in international webinars, inviting national experts to deliver lectures, and conducting numerous seminars focused on class-oriented discussions. These activities aim to provide students with a comprehensive learning experience, fostering continuous excellence, confidence, and knowledge through a combination of traditional and modern learning methods such as e-learning, lab testing, field testing, and exchange programs.
