World Breastfeeding Week 2024 was celebrated by the Department of Pediatrics at LNMC with the theme: “Closing the Gap, Breastfeeding Support for All.” The celebration featured two key events: a PG quiz held on August 6th and an awareness program for postnatal mothers conducted on August 7th. The program was graced by the presence of Dr. A. K. Choudhary, Director of Medicine at J. K. Hospital, and Dr. Vibha Arjaria from the Department of Community Medicine, LNMC, who served as chief guests.
The event saw active participation from all faculty and postgraduates of the Department of Pediatrics. It concluded with the distribution of fruits to postnatal mothers and caregivers of newborns, further supporting their well-being and the health of their babies.
