An internal expert lecture was organised by School of Pharmacy, LNCT, University, Bhopal on the topic “Anti-epileptic drugs: an overview” on 25th April 2024 by Dr. Pradeep Kumar Mohanty, Professor, School of Pharmacy, LNCT University Bhopal.The welcome speech was delivered by Dr.A.K.Singhai, Director, School of Pharmacy and Dean Academics, LNCT University. During the lecture, Dr. Mohanty made sure that he describes the general introduction of epilepsy, the causes of epileptic seizures, their various types, the mechanism of anti-convulsant action and many more important topics. He also explained the various drugs to prevent the disorder and also the side effects of majority of the drugs taken. Apart from this, students also got to know about the detailed mechanism of each cycle of a particular seizure in an illustrative way. All the worthy listeners were equally benefitted from the dedication towards the seminar shown by Dr.Pradeep Kumar Mohanty. All the faculties and students attended the lecture and got to know some new points related to epilepsy.
