The School of Legal Studies at LNCT University organized a visit to the Central Jail for students of BALLB/BBALLB/LLB 3rd semester on September 12, 2023.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to interact with jail authorities and were given a comprehensive tour of the jail premises. This included visits to the library, hospital, activity room, prisoner barracks, press room, and auditorium. The students received explanations about the various functions and operations of the jail, enhancing their understanding of the correctional system.
The event was both interactive and informative, as students had the chance to ask questions and have them addressed by the authorities. The visit was made possible with the support of Dr. Anushka Nayak, Head of the Department, along with faculty coordinators Mrs. Disha Pande and Mr. Rohit Sharma.
It was a successful and educational experience for all involved.
