The World Health Organization (WHO) has marked July 29 as World ORS Day to stress on the usage and significance of Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS). Hence, the Department of Pediatrics (LN Medical College & JK Hospital) in association with B.A.P observed the ORS week from July 23rd-July 31st, 2019. Every year on July 29 ORS Day is celebrated, and this year’s the theme is “The Amrut in Dehydration” reinforcing the importance of ORS in preventing dehydration in children. Essay Writing Competition on “The Amrut in Dehydration” & a play on ORS activities were performed by the final year MBBS students and Interns of LN Medical College.
