School of Architecture LNCT University visited REHMAN TIMBER Industry Mandideep on Saturday 2nd March 2019. The purpose of the visit was to give practical exposure about timber industry. Study of timber is part of syllabus in second semester Building material & construction subject.
Various nuances related to timber viz. seasoning, cutting, sawing, pressing, making of boards, ply’s, beadings etc. were experienced and understood by students during the visit.
Industry Manager Mr. Shakeel Ahmad demonstrated complete manufacturing of flush door shutters in stages to students starting with raw material to finished end product.
