EVENT DESCRIPTION
Governor of Madhya Pradesh Smt. Anandiben Patel inaugurated the 7th Vigyan Mela on Friday, Feb 9th 2018. The Secretary & Managing Trustee of LNCT Group Shri. Anupam Chouksey also graces and motivated the LNCT Group students on this occasion.
The Bhopal Vigyan Mela is being organized under the joint aegis of Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology and Vigyan Bharti at BHEL Dusshera ground from February 9th to 12th 2018.
The Vigyan Mela is being organized with an objective to apprise students and common people about the career opportunities, achievements of Indian scientists and science in ancient India, efforts for research and development in the country and expansion of scientific approach among the common people.
“The Mela is aimed at spreading and propagating development in the field of science and technology to masses, creating scientific awareness among students and masses and exhibit strengths and potential of indigenous science and technology”. The major attractions would include display of advances in science and technology, display of appropriate low-cost rural technologies, pavilion depicting environment awareness with regards to health and climate impact.
The main attraction of the Vigyan Mela will be progress in the modern science and technology beside art works of bamboo, clay craft and metal science. Moreover, special pavilion displaying innovations, various competitions for children, interaction with renowned scientists of the country, seminar, lectures, pavilion focusing on environment awareness and cultural programmes are the main features of the Mela.
LNCT University and LNCT Group of Colleges, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), NHDC, ICAR, CAIR, DRDO, Union Ministry of Ayush (5 Departments), BHEL, Coal India Ltd., BrahMos Aero Space, various departments of the government, Tata, NPCIL and NTPC besides 124 organizations participated in the Vigyan Mela 2018.
