Ayurpraveshika 2025-26: A Journey from Tradition to Transformation
The commencement of the 2025-26 academic session for the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) at LNCT University was nothing short of a grand odyssey. Spanning over two weeks, from 8/12/2025 to 24/12/2025 ,the “Ayurpraveshika” transitional curriculum served as a bridge, connecting the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda with the demands of modern medical science.
The Grand Inauguration: Gyanarambh
The journey began with Gyanarambh, a ceremony where the air was thick with aspiration. The event was graced by Shri Narendra Shivaji Patel ji (Minister of State for Public Health and Medical Education), who reminded the budding healers that medicine is not merely a profession but a calling rooted in human sensitivity and compassion. Under the visionary guidance of LNCT Group Founder, Shri Jaynarayan Chouksey sir, students were initiated into a culture of discipline and selfless service.
Highlights of the Transitional Curriculum
The daily sessions, coordinated by dedicated faculty including Dr. Shamim Khan, Dr. Adil Khan, and their colleagues, followed the sacred rhythm of the Dhanvantari Prayer and lamp lighting. The curriculum was meticulously designed to nurture the “Vaidya” of tomorrow:
Foundational Wisdom: Students were introduced to the core pillars of Ayurveda, from Ayurved Avatran and Ashtanga Hridaya to the study of Samhitas and the philosophical systems of India.
Modern Integration: The program didn’t shy away from the 21st century, offering insights into Digital Literacy, Cyber Security, Research Awareness, and Computer Skills.
Ethical & Professional Excellence: Dedicated sessions on Medical Ethics, Bio-waste Management, and First Aid ensured that students understood the gravity of their clinical responsibilities.
Holistic Growth: From the serenity of Yoga and Pranayama to the linguistic beauty of Sanskrit, students were encouraged to embrace a balanced lifestyle (Dincharya and Ritucharya).
Future Horizons: Experts shed light on diverse career paths, including Super-specialty education, NCC/NSS opportunities, and the global glory of Ayurveda.
Cultivating Talent and Community
The curriculum was not just about lectures; it was a celebration of identity. Through Library visits, Departmental tours, and a vibrant Talent Show, the first-profession students transitioned from strangers to a cohesive community, showcasing their creativity and building a “ragging-free,” supportive environment. To ensure the transition was smooth, senior students Dr. Bhavana Shivhare, Dr. Aman Daharwal, and Dr. Khushi Tiwari shared their personal roadmaps to success, bridging the gap between juniors and seniors with warmth and camaraderie.
The middle phase of the curriculum focused on Foundational Heritage and Inspiration. Students were taken on a chronological journey by Dr. Madhusudan Deshpande, who traced the majestic path of Ayurveda from its Vedic origins to its modern-day global relevance. This intellectual growth was complemented by the powerful presence of Dr Sapan jain principal LNAC, Dr. Varsha Wanjari Vice Principal and Dr. Vishal Shivhare Director of LNAC whose motivational sessions acted as a catalyst, igniting a sense of leadership and resilience within the batch
The final stretch of the program was a period of Reflection and Resolution. Under the expert coordination of Dr. Shamim Khan and Dr. Adil Khan, a post-test and interactive feedback session ensured that the core values of the curriculum were deeply internalized. The journey culminated in a poignant Valedictory Function, a celebration of the transformation that had occurred over fifteen days. As the students stood together one last time before their formal classes began, the atmosphere was one of profound readiness—marking the end of an introduction, but the beautiful beginning of a lifelong calling to heal.
