On 18th April 2026, the School of Pharmacy, LNCT University, Bhopal organized an expert lecture along with a workshop for the students of B.Pharm. VI semester, which focused on “Isolation & Identification of Pathogenic Microbes” and “Microbial Techniques for Pathogenic and Non-Pathogenic Organisms,” and was delivered by Dr. Pallav Kaushik Deshpande, Women Scientist, Barkatullah University, Bhopal. The gathering was addressed by Dr. A.K Singhai, Director, School of Pharmacy and Dean Academics, LNCT University, Bhopal, who emphasized the significance of such academic activities for students’ overall development. The session began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Virendra Kumar Sharma, Vice-Principal, School of Pharmacy, LNCT University, Bhopal. The session was further addressed and coordinated by Dr. Anjali Choudhary, Director, School of Biotechnology, LNCT University, Bhopal who encouraged students to actively participate and enhance their practical skills. During the session, Dr. Pallav Kaushik Deshpande explained various types of culture media, sterilization and incubation techniques, bacterial enumeration methods, identification procedures and important biochemical tests. In the hands-on workshop, students performed culturing of microorganisms and learned the use of laboratory equipment such as laminar air flow, gaining practical exposure to essential microbiological techniques. The session provided valuable insights and hands-on experience to the students, making it highly informative and beneficial.
