LNCT University Organises Plantation Drive to Promote Environmental Sustainability
Demonstrating its commitment to environmental sustainability, the Nature Club (Prakriti) of LNCT University, Bhopal, in association with Gayatri Pariwar, Bhopal, under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organised a Plantation Drive under the Vriksha Ganga Abhiyan – “Taru Putra Taru Mitra Yojna” on August 8, 2026.
The programme was held at LNCT University Campus, in the gracious presence of the Hon’ble Management Dr Anupam Chouksey and Dr Shweta Chouksey, Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Director, Principal, Heads of Departments, faculty members, staff, and students. The initiative aligned with the LiFE Mission and Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13 – Climate Action, promoting awareness and sustainable environmental practices.
As part of the initiative, Gayatri Pariwar arranged approximately 50–60 saplings, of which around 15 saplings were planted by the senior officials and management of LNCT University. The remaining saplings were distributed among faculty members and students, encouraging them to plant, nurture, and take responsibility for their growth as part of the University’s “Green Campus Initiative”.
The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the Nature Club and Gayatri Pariwar and encouraged everyone to adopt sustainable practices and contribute towards a greener future.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge to protect nature, conserve natural resources, and work towards creating a clean, green, and sustainable campus.
