The Bronchoscopy Unit was inaugurated in the Respiratory Department of LN Medical College’s JK Hospital. This unit is equipped with advanced bronchoscopy technology, which uses a lens-guided thin flexible tube to study the lungs and airways. Bronchoscopy is a safe and modern procedure performed by pulmonologists under general anesthesia in the hospital to examine and diagnose various lung conditions.
The development of this new bronchoscopy unit will not only benefit patients from the respiratory department but also prove useful for patients from other departments.
Additionally, the department also offers thoracoscopy facilities, which are available in only a few hospitals in Madhya Pradesh. Thoracoscopy is a complex diagnostic and investigative procedure that helps in detecting and treating serious conditions such as cancer by examining abnormal tissues or fluid accumulation between the lung membranes (pleura).
With these advanced facilities now available at JK Hospital, treatment for patients suffering from severe respiratory diseases has become much more accessible and convenient.
