On the ocassion of 11th ayurveda day , a Cervical Cancer Awareness Programme and live HPV Vaccination Drive was organized by the Department of Prasuti Tantra Evam Stree Roga (PTSR), LN Ayurved College & Hospital , Bhopal in collaboration with Serum Institute of India at LT 01 and OPD No. 17 on 24th september 2026
The event aimed to educate healthcare professionals, students, and the community on cervical cancer prevention and HPV immunization.
The programme commenced in the presence of Principal Dr. Sapan Jain,Director Dr. Vishal Shivhare, , Vice Principal Dr. Varsha Wanjari .
Guest Speaker Dr. Rashmi Bajpai (LN Medical College) delivered the enlightening session on HPV transmission, gender neutral vaccination , and cervical cancer prevention .
Dr. Vishal Shivhare highlighted institutional responsibility in preventive health, while Dr. Meenakshi Pal Baghel (HOD, PTSR) discussed integrating awareness drives into OPD practice and Dr Nishigandha Kubade ( Associate professor at PTSR Dept) and Dr Diksha Pandharipande ( Assistant Professor at PTSR Dept ) conducted various awarness lectures for for UG students, PG students, and housekeeping staff.
Key topics included early screening via Pap smears, the protective benefits of HPV vaccination , recommended dosing schedules.
Following the sessions, a live HPV Vaccination Drive was conducted at OPD No. 17, with intern Dr. Vandit Jain being the first recipient. Vaccine support was provided by Mr. Anand Bhargava and Ms. Vibha from the Serum Institute of India.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Diksha Pandharipande (Assistant Professor, (Dept of PTSR) LN Ayurved College & Hospital , Bhopal
