A Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) program on “ABG Analysis and Interpretation” was conducted for nursing officers at JK Hospital Bhopal, under the collaboration between LN Nursing School Bhopal and JK Hospital Bhopal. The programme was planned under the direction of management and collaboration of nursing superintendent Mrs. Liji Mathews JK Hospital Bhopal. The objective of the program was to enhance the knowledge and skills of nursing officers in ABG analysis and interpretation, enabling them to provide high-quality patient care.
The CNE program was delivered by Mrs. Tara Dubey, Assistant Professor, L.N Nursing School Bhopal under the guidance and direction of Prof Dr T JayaKumar Principal LN Nursing School Bhopal. The program was designed for nursing officers of JK Hospital Bhopal. Topics Discussed were: Basics of ABG analysis, Interpretation of ABG results, Clinical applications and case studies. Pre-test was conducted to assess the existing knowledge of participants and Post-test was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the program. In conclusion the CNE program was well-received, and the post-test results showed a significant improvement in the knowledge and understanding of ABG analysis and interpretation among the participants. The program was successful in achieving its objective, and the collaboration between LN Nursing School Bhopal and JK Hospital Bhopal contributed to its success.
