A workshop on Neonatal Resuscitation was held at L.N. Nursing School under the guidance of Prof. Dr. T. Jayakumar sir Principal. The event was organized by the Child Health Nursing Department, coordinated by Prof. Ezhilarasi and Asst. Prof. Mr. Sarjan Patel.
Dr. Shweta Anand mam Professor and Unit Head, Pediatric Department, L.N. Medical College and J.K. Hospital, led the workshop as the expert speaker. The session began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, prayer song, and a welcome address. Dr. Shweta Anand mam was felicitated by Prof. Dr. Aradhana Chourasia mam HOD of OBG department.
A pre-test was conducted to assess baseline knowledge. This was followed by a comprehensive session covering the NRP algorithm, causes of neonatal complications, required equipment, Ambu bag demonstration, MRSOPA steps, and termination guidelines.
The workshop provided practical insights and clarified essential concepts in neonatal emergency care. Prof. Sandhya Mishra mam HOD of Medical-Surgical department presented a memento to the speaker, and a vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Sarjan Patel. A post-test was held to evaluate learning outcomes.
VII Semester B.Sc. Nursing students participated enthusiastically, making the workshop a valuable hands-on learning experience.
